When to get vaccinated: You should get vaccinated at least two weeks before travelling.
Course: The course consists of one dose.
Boosters: The vaccine protects you for one year. If you have another booster after 6 -12 months, you won’t need any further boosters for 25 years thereafter.

When to get vaccinated: in order to complete the full course in time, you need to get the first dose at least one month before travel.
Course: The course consists of three doses. The second injection is given four weeks after the first, and the third injection should be given five months later (thereby completing the course in six months).
Accelerated Course: If travelling at short notice, you may be able to get an accelerated course. You will receive the second injection after seven days, followed by the third injection at least 14 days after the second.
Boosters: Once you have completed the course, you usually won’t need another booster for five years. Boosters are sometimes recommended after exposure to the disease.

How it is given: There are two different typhoid vaccines. One is an injection, the other consists of a course of tablets. Which vaccine is suitable for you depends on your age and medical history.
Course: One dose if you receive the typhoid injection. The oral vaccine consists of three capsules taken over a course of five days.

Vaccination: Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
There are over 100 varieties of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and 4 out of 5 people will come into contact with at least one type of the HPV virus at some point in their lives. Most forms of the HPV infection are harmless, however some can cause genital warts and abnormal cells that are linked to cervical cancer and other cancers in men and women.
What is the HPV vaccine?
The HPV vaccination (Gardasil 9) protects against 9 types of HPV, including 2 types that can cause more than 70% of cervical cancers in the UK and 2 types of the virus that cause 90% of genital warts.
Gardasil 9 is given as an injection in the upper arm. The number of doses you need depends on your age. Children aged from 12 up to and including 14 years of age at the time of the first injection require two doses. The second dose is administered six months after the first.
Patients aged 15 years of age and older at the time of the first injection require three doses. The second dose is administered two months after the first dose. The third dose is administered at least four months after the second dose. All three doses must be given within the course of one year.

Vaccination: Influenza (Flu)
The flu can be very serious for many people and can make you feel quite unwell. Having an annual vaccination gives the best protection against flu and can mean - if you do get the flu after you’ve been vaccinated - that your symptoms will be milder. It also helps to protect those around you who may not be able to get the jab, or who are more vulnerable due to health complaints.
Having the flu vaccine will help to prevent you from being seriously ill if you also get coronavirus at the same time.
We are able to offer vaccines to people who might not qualify for a flu vaccine through the NHS scheme.
The vaccine is one single annual injection in the upper arm.

Vaccination: Meningitis ACWY
The new Meningitis ACWY vaccines are licensed in the UK for use in the prevention of serious strains of meningitis.
Meningitis ACWY vaccines offer protection against invasive meningococcal diseases of strains 'A', 'C', 'W' and 'Y'. The vaccine is now recommended for new college and university students in the UK. Meningitis W - a deadly and highly aggressive strain is now on the rise in the UK with a 1000% increase in known cases over the last 6 years.
Young people starting university or college this autumn are being urged to get a vaccine against meningitis. Public Health England says the Meningitis ACWY vaccine will help protect against meningitis W in particular as new university students are at risk as they often mix closely with groups of unfamiliar people - some who may unknowingly carry the bug.
The meningitis W infection is fatal in one in 10 cases and can lead to long-term health problems including deafness, epilepsy and amputations.
