Prostate Cancer Screening with a PSA blood test

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. If you're over 50 and have a family history of the disease, your risk is even higher. The earlier you find it, the easier it is to treat.

£129 per screening

Normal PSA levels aren’t always the same for everyone, knowing yours helps assess your individual risk.

How it works

This is more than just a test, it's a conversation with a GP who will guide you every step of the way.

What is a PSA blood test?

The PSA blood test checks the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in your blood. PSA is a protein made by the prostate, and it's normal for levels to rise slightly as you get older. A higher-than-usual PSA level might indicate a prostate issue, it doesn’t always mean cancer.

In the UK, about 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Are you at a risk?

Aged over 50?

Age is the biggest risk factor for prostate cancer. Most cases are diagnosed in men over 50, and the likelihood increases steadily as you get older. Even if you feel completely healthy, it’s important to be aware of your risk as you age.

Symptoms to be aware of

These symptoms can be caused by many things, not just cancer. A quick screening can help rule out anything serious.
Most men with early prostate cancer don’t notice any symptoms. But if you’ve experienced any of the following, it’s a good reason to screen:

Needing to wee more often, especially at night

Difficulty starting or stopping

A weak flow or feeling like you haven't finished

Pain or discomfort when weeing

Less commonly, lower back or hip pain, or erectile issues

Fast and reliable results from our on-site lab
