

Dr Roper
Psychologist
Dr Roper qualified as a Health Psychologist in 2016 through the British Psychological Society route, and also has a MSc from University of Central Lancashire and a PhD from University of Liverpool.
She works as a Principal Health Psychologist in private practice and the NHS. For the first 15 years of her career, she worked in academia, latterly as the Director of Studies in Health Psychology and spent much of her time researching chronic illness and the impact on patients.
She has published over 40 academic papers and continues to contribute to NIHR research grants.
She is particularly interested in supporting people with chronic physical illness including Long Covid, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes and fatigue and pain.
Dr Roper is the Co-Lead for Physical Health across the North West in the Psychological Professions Network. She also supervises Trainee and Qualified Clinical and Health Psychologists, and PhD students
