MRI Scan Referral - GP Consultation

£130

Referrals for MRI scans are arranged following a consultation with a GP, during which your specific needs and suitability for the scan will be thoroughly evaluated. Please note that the cost of the MRI scan may vary depending on the private facility to which you are referred.

MRI Brain & Body Scans

From £1,195

Our Full Body MRI scans offer some of the most advanced diagnostics available. It is a preventative health check-up that provides an insight into your overall health and wellbeing for early identification of potential health issues.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) does not expose the patient to any significant direct harm through X-ray radiation. MRI uses a very strong magnetic field to provide extremely accurate images of your body.

The full body MRI Scan can help diagnose soft tissue diseases, find the source of pain or inflammation, and identify abnormal tissue or tumour growth.

The full body scan can help to detect the following pathology in these areas:

Head and Neck:

  • Brain tumours

  • Aneurism

  • Blocked Arteries

  • Fluid leaks

Spine:

  • Spinal tumors

  • Pinched nerves

  • Herniated discs

  • Fractures

  • Spinal cord compression

Bones and Joints:

  • Abnormalities caused by traumatic or repetitive injuries

  • Bone infections

  • Tumours in the bones and soft tissues

Abdomen:

Including overview of:

  • Liver

  • Kidneys

  • Spleen

  • Pancreas

  • Gallbladder

Check for:

  • Tumours

  • Diseases, cysts and abscess

  • Gallstones

  • Adrenal tumours

  • Aortic aneurysm

Pelvis:

Female includes:

  • Uterus

  • Ovaries and urinary bladder – check for polyps, cysts and tumours

Male includes:

  • Prostate disease (not cancer)

  • Urinary bladder disease

The MRI will check for:

  • Tumours

  • Lesions

  • Abnormal growth

  • Aneurisms

Scan Duration: 70-75 minutes

The Full Body MRI Scan package includes a pre-scan consultation with one of our GPs, a Full Body MRI scan and a consultant radiologist written report.

MRI Prostate

From £535

An MRI prostate scan provides a detailed assessment of the prostate gland and surrounding structures. It is commonly used to investigate prostate concerns, assess prostate cancer risk, guide biopsy decisions, and support treatment planning. The scan is non-invasive, does not use radiation, and offers highly accurate imaging to help clinicians make informed, confident decisions about prostate health.

Referrals for scans can be made following a 30 minute consultation with a GP who will discuss your needs and suitability for referral.

MRI Scan 2 Areas*

From £650

Any two body areas. Referrals for scans can be made following a 30 minute consultation with a GP who will discuss your needs and suitability for referral.

*Excludes the Gynae/Pelvis and Prostate MRI

MRI Angiogram (MRA)

From £175

An MRI Angiogram (MRA) is a non-invasive imaging scan used to assess blood vessels throughout the body, including those supplying the brain, heart, and other vital organs. Using magnetic resonance imaging, an MRA produces highly detailed images of arteries and veins, helping to identify narrowing, blockages, aneurysms, or other vascular abnormalities—often without the need for X-rays.

The scan is painless and typically involves the use of a contrast agent to enhance image clarity, though some MR angiograms can be performed without contrast. An MRA is commonly used to investigate symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, stroke risk, or circulation problems, and to monitor known vascular conditions. Images are reviewed by a specialist radiologist, with a detailed report provided to your GP or consultant, who will explain the results and advise on any next steps.

Referrals for scans can be made following a 30 minute consultation with a GP who will discuss your needs and suitability for referral.

MRI Gynae / Pelvis

From £475

An MRI gynaecology/pelvis scan provides detailed images of the pelvic organs, including the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding tissues. It is used to investigate symptoms such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis, or ovarian conditions. This non-invasive scan offers high-resolution imaging without radiation, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Referrals for scans can be made following a 30 minute consultation with a GP who will discuss your needs and suitability for referral.

MRI Scan 1 Area*

From £410

Shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, ankle, foot (for one peripheral area).

*Excludes the Gynae/Pelvis and Prostate MRI

Referrals for scans can be made following a 30 minute consultation with a GP who will discuss your needs and suitability for referral.
